Extra Curricular activity

Blue Skies encourages students and pupils to participate in group activities to develop their social communication skills and build friendships outside of the school environment.

As our students are mainly brought into school via local authority transport, this limits our ability to offer these opportunities other than at lunchtime.

Our lunchtime provision varies throughout the year, from Horticulture in the Spring to Cooking, games, music and craft. Students are supported to develop receptive and expressive skills through discreet teaching at this time.

Talk to a youth worker

Medway are now offering bookable sessions for young people who want to talk to youth workers on their own via Microsoft Teams. This could be for information and advice, support or just to chat and catch up. There will always be two youth workers on any call.

Sessions are available Monday to Friday at times that work for you. Email youth.service@medway.gov.uk to book your spot.

The youth workers will contact you to arrange an online meeting. Once they have confirmed your meeting, they will send you a link. Use the link to join the sessions at your booked time. When you click the link you will be taken to a virtual waiting room before the call starts.

How to join Medway Youth Sessions

Medway Local authority are now using Microsoft Teams to deliver a variety of youth work sessions online.

To join these calls download Microsoft Teams from the App Store, Google Play or on the Microsoft website.

Once this has been downloaded, use the session link to join the session at the advertised time. If you're having any problems you can email the worker in charge or email youth.enquiries@medway.gov.uk.
